SubKiller never sees your email. It works from merchant names and numbers your assistant sends it.
What the connector receives
Merchant or product names, amounts, currency, how often a charge repeats, dates, and a status such as keep or cancel requested. The tools reject other fields, and reject anything that looks like an email address or a card number. Your assistant reads your inbox on its side under its own privacy policy.
What is stored
- Your list, if your assistant saves one: the items above, under a random key. Only a scrambled form (hash) of the key is stored, so the list cannot be opened from the database without the key. No name, email address, account number or email text is stored.
- Merchant names SubKiller did not recognise, as a name and a count, with nothing connecting them to a list or a person. This is how the merchant list grows.
- Daily counts of how often each tool is used and which services people ask how to cancel. Counts only, with nothing connecting them to a list or a person, and no IP addresses.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes network data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse. There are no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or cookies.
Your private list link
The link is the key. There is no login, so anyone who has the link can see the list. Treat it like a password and do not post or forward it. The key in the link is 192 bits of randomness, so it cannot be guessed, and only a hash of it is stored. The page is not indexed by search engines, is never cached, sends no referrer, and says all this at the top. If the link is ever shared by mistake, the page has a button that replaces it with a new link and switches the old one off at once. Your assistant can do the same.
Deleting
Ask your assistant to delete your SubKiller list, or use the delete button on your private list page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
A list that goes 12 months without an update is deleted automatically. That also covers a lost key: a list nobody can open any more does not stay around.
What SubKiller does not do
It does not sell, share or advertise against your list. It takes no payment or commission from any company it lists.
